Marianne Durach was born on April 3, 1947 in Stuttgart. She first studied at the Summer School of the State Academy of Art and Design in Stuttgart and then from 1981 to 1984, participated in the summer courses at the European Art Academy in Trier. At the same time, she worked in the studio of the Trier-based landscape and still life painter Anton Veit. Her painting is abstract and shaped by color and light. She currently lives and works on Tegernsee.
